On Sunday December 21st, Future Form will be teaming up with our very own yoga teacher Stéfanie Joyce and Riviera Reiki Owner Beverley Holt to host an afternoon of truly uplifting and worthy events at Future Form.
Proceedings will commence at 4.30pm, when Stefanie will lead a sequence of 108 yoga mala sun salutations. Participation in the salutations class will be run on a donation basis, and participants will be able to join in at any time. All of your kind donations will go to the Preeti Orphanage Project in Nepal, of which Stephanie is a proud and committed ambassador.
The sun salutations will be followed at 7pm with a meditation for world peace led by the fabulous Beverley. The meditation is actually part of a simultaneous worldwide meditation organised by the International Reiki Association, so you will be one of thousands of people across the planet simultaneously channelling all of their positive energy into a collective will for a better and more harmonious world.
Future Form will also make the most of this occasion to celebrate Christmas with you, so all participants can expect a festive drink and bite to eat.
So we hope to see you and your friends there in great number to show some festive yoga and reiki love for these two fantastic causes.
More About the Preeti Nepal Orphanage Project
The Preeti Orphanage Home project was launched in 2014 by the Ford Nepal Organisation, a non-political, non-governmental, non-religious and non-for-profit organisation whose mission is the improvement of the quality of the rural life in Nepal, championing projects covering the areas of education, health, sanitation, orphanages, childcare, social and rural development, cultural heritage, conservation and environmental awareness.
Once built, orphanage is due to welcome 14 orphans and employ 3 full-time care workers. At this stage of the project, a suitable plot of land has been located for the construction of an orphanage. The next step is therefore to purchase this plot of land, so that the construction can commence. The land is available for 4,000€, so with your help, we can make a very real and huge impact on the construction process.
Stefanie’s association with the orphanage dates back to 2009, when she spent 3 months as a volunteer withFord Nepal. Ever since, Stefanie has remained an active patron of the organisation – even writing her own yoga guidebook for which all proceeds are donated to the orphanage fund. If you want to help the orphanage project in raising funds and also share in Stefanie’s substantial wisdom on yoga practice, you can buy Yoga essential: A guidebook to yoga practice as an e-book on Amazon.
